Headmaster saysI am in my fifth year as Headmaster and I love my role and Barrow Hills. The one constant about education is that it never stands still. We must continually look to ideas and opportunities to be better and to help prepare your children for the future whilst, at the same time, recognising and continuing the traditions and values of our school which serve your children as much now as when the school was founded sixty years ago. Your children are growing up in a world that is ever changing, and many of whom will go on to have professions and jobs in areas that do not exist at present. At Barrow Hills we believe that we must prepare your children to be a success not only at their senior school but also by laying down firm foundations for future success at university and in the professional world beyond. I know the school as a parent and have the same hopes and desires as all of you to ensure that your children have the best education possible. Our conscious aim is to encourage your children to become intellectual risk-takers, happy to stand on their own two feet and, when faced with a challenge, confident to try and to try again. Allied to this is the vital need to instil within them the values of kindness, honesty and empathy. By succeeding in these two endeavours, we know that your children are truly prepared for the future. I hope that you will explore our website in detail. Please click on the newsletters which will give you a good idea of a week in the life of Barrow Hills. Should you read something which triggers a question, you are very welcome to e-mail the relevant member of staff. Of course, ultimately, I hope to see you here for a tour and that you will give us the opportunity to educate your children.
