Year 5 had a great time going to Legoland last week on
Friday 4th May . Even though rain had threatened, Mr Fisher
didn't call it off and we were very excited! We were singing quite
well on the minibus there, but the teachers didn't seem to
appreciate it!
When we got there we rushed down the slides to our
workshop, which was all about Energy in Motion and we learnt about
kinetic and potential energy, we built mini Lego racing cars in
groups and then raced them!
After that, we went on some rides then watched the
pirate stunt show while we ate lunch - the pirates at the top of
the lighthouse were full of potential gravitational energy before
they leapt into the water and transferred it into splashes and
waves! Then we had ice cream and donuts and then went on all the
rides.
