BHDIThe Barrow Hills Development Initiative (BHDI) is a parent-led initiative that kicked off in May 2011, in conjunction with the school's diamond jubilee. The BHDI intends to support the school in its long term capital projects to enhance its academic, artistic and sporting facilities.
With a proportion of the money raised so far, the BHDI and
the school have given the green light for two new, dedicated
science labs - one for the junior years, one for the senior years.
These should be ready by the end of 2011. The BHDI intends to raise
the additional funds to refurbish the pool area and give it a
permanent and attractive cover to enable year-round swimming,
hopefully by the summer of 2012. The fund raising events kicked off
the 2011-2012 academic year with the first ever Barrow Hills
triathlon held on school grounds.
